Flowers for a teacher are not only given on Teacher’s Day. The first day of school, the last bell, graduation or simply a thank-you for extra help — there are many occasions to show your appreciation.
What kind of bouquet suits a teacher
A universal choice is a medium-sized mixed bouquet in neutral, warm colours. It suits any occasion and feels comfortable both for the giver and the recipient. Bright red roses are usually associated with romantic feelings, so they are chosen for teachers less often.
For a male teacher, bouquets with stricter lines work best — carnations, chrysanthemums and greenery in darker wrapping.
When to give flowers
The most common occasions are September 1st, Teacher’s Day on October 5th, the last bell in May and the end of the school year. Flowers are also given after graduation or as a thank-you to the class tutor.
